The Hegewisch Chamber of Commerce was established in 1984 and our mission statement is to encourage, advance and protect the civic, commercial and industrial interest in the area it serves.  Our slogan is, Pride in Our Community - Faith in Our Future.”  We are a not for profit organization and we take great pride in our town.  We are always glad to see new businesses move in.  It is a sign that the area is growing and business is good.  Out goal always is to create a strong chord of unity between our businesses, in addition to creating a pleasant experience for our community shoppers.

We provide our membership benefits that include monthly networking opportunities, access to the Chamber’s membership roster, business referrals promotions, City of Chicago workshops, business opportunities with the Chamber, community exposure, community involvement and community support.

Our monthly newsletter “The Hegewisch Hotsheet”, circulates door to door throughout our community of over 5,000 homes and businesses.  Members have an opportunity to advertise at a discounted rate in our “Hegewisch Hotsheet” (delivered to over 5,000 businesses and homes in Hegewisch and the surrounding areas).  Monthly open dinner meetings are held every third (3rd) Monday of the month where members of the business community gather to discuss important issues related to the business community.

We are very actively involved with our Community CAPS meetings, where we discuss safety, crime and vandalism, issues and concerns of importance in not only the business district but within the entire community.
